Australia Day Awards 2021

Every community has local heroes and sporting super stars. The 2021 Australia Day awards gives you the opportunity to reflect on the positive impact of people and groups who are engaged and committed to our local community and our junior and senior sporting stars so that we can all celebrate their outstanding contributions and achievements.

The Shire of Jerramungup invites you to nominate an outstanding local hero, group or sporting star for one of the Australia Day Awards to be presented on Australia Day Wednesday 26 January 2022.

Australia Day Citizen of the Year Award and Australia Day Citizenship Award for a Community Group or Event

The awards foster, recognise and celebrate significant contributions to community life and active citizenship in all local government areas of Western Australia. The recipients will be selected from people and groups who have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year, or given outstanding service to the local community over a number of years through active involvement.

Senior Sports Person of the Year Award and Junior Sports Person of the Year Award.

The Sports Star Awards recognise excellence across all sports in the Shire of Jerramungup as well as at an International, National and State level. The recipients will be selected for their outstanding performance, active participation in training, coaching and other club activities and displaying exceptional sportsmanship.
