Local Planning Policies
The Shire of Jerramungup has adopted a series of planning policies under Town Planning Scheme No 2 that provide further guidance on particular issues. Importantly, these policies may not contradict the requirements of the Town Planning Scheme, they do not bind the Council but the Council is to have “due regard” to their content.
The Shire of Jerramungup has adopted the following Town Planning Scheme policies:

Draft Planning Policies
Additional policies before Council are listed below, with advice on their current status.
- Local Planning Scheme No.2 Amendment No.8 - Submissions on the local planning scheme amendment may be made in writing and lodged with the undersigned on or before Friday, 15th June 2012.
- Draft Local Planning Policy No 12 Requirement for Fire Management Plans - the Shire has adopted the WAPC Planning for Bushfire Protection (Edition 2) as the guide to preparing Fire Managment Plans.
Detailed Area Plans
Detailed Area Plans (DAP's) are intended to guide the residential development of approved subdivisions, in particular addressing earthworks, retaining and surveillance of public open space.
